Frederick University (FU), Cyprus

The Frederick University team organised the multiplier event ‘The acoustic environment as a field of exploration and development of acoustic competencies and environmental consciousness for preschool and early school children’ at the Limassol campus on April 27th, 2024. The event targeted kindergarten teachers, elementary school teachers and students. The event was attended by 63 people. The program included a presentation of the CARE/SS main outputs by Dr Victoria Pavlou, a focused presentation on one arts discipline, music education and a workshop on music education by Dr Georgina Athanasiou. The language of instruction was Greek, and attendees received certificates of attendance.

Adam Mickiewicz University (AMU), Poland

The Faculty of Educational Studies of Adam Mickiewicz University organised the project's final multiplier event in the form of the International Conference "Innovations in Arts Education: Bridging Socially Engaged Arts and Digital Learning" (Poznań, 14th June 2024). The Conference Scientific Committee was chaired by Mateusz Marciniak and Victoria Pavlou, while Katarzyna Forecka-Waśko and Michalina Kasprzak chaired the Organising Committee.

The central part of the conference agenda (Plenary Session I: Experiences of CARE/SS project and Plenary Session II: Art in action) was summarising activities undertaken during the CARE/SS project, presenting main promises and deliverables, and focusing on project results. The CARE/SS consortium members shed light on theoretical and practical reflections on socially engaged art, innovations in artistic education and the use of ICT. The second part of the Conference Agenda (Section A: Inclusive arts for social participation and integration, Section B: Art education for social change – flash talk session and Workshops) gave a voice to Polish and foreign academic students, representatives of schools and educational institutions, artists, and members of associations and foundations.

The conference was dedicated to: in-service and pre-service teachers, educators, researchers, academic staff members, students, artists, occupational therapists, and local stakeholders interested in the conference topic. There were 132 attendees: 28 members of the CARE/SS consortium (8 face-to-face, 3 online, 17 AMU organisers), 42 foreign participants (mainly students, pre-service teachers, and trainees) and 63 local (Polish) participants. The language of instruction was English. All attendees received certificates of conference attendance for passive and active participation and workshop certificates.

Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Greece

On 23/5/2024, the scientific team of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki hosted the multiplier event on "Critical education in the arts for sustainable societies" at the Tower of the Faculty of Education, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, 10th floor, from 16:30 to 21:00. The Event targeted active teachers, education consultants, and representatives of the city's cultural institutions, emphasising the importance of their continuous professional development. The event showcased intellectual products developed within the project framework. Due to the hectic period in schools, and although there were many interested and had registered, physical attendance reached 68 external participants in addition to the faculty members of the Department and pre-service student teachers who attended.

The programme featured three artistic, themed workshops: 1. Images in motion (Antonis Lenakakis), 2. Step into my shoes (Martha Ioannidou) 3. Narratives: Creating a Comic Story with Pixton (Michalina Kasprzak, AMU, Poland).

Attendees received certificates of attendance.

University of Malta (UOM), Malta

On 27 May, 2024, the University of Malta team organised a half-day multiplier event at the School of Art in Valletta. The event lasted from 9am until 12 noon and 36 participants from different settings participated: teachers of various arts disciplines based in the primary or secondary sectors; teachers of other subjects such as social studies; education officers based in the state sector; and other stakeholders, including arts practitioners and persons involved in the media. The event was held at the Malta School of Art in Valletta. The venue was deliberately selected because it includes art education at different levels, hence the project findings would be interesting and valuable for several educators teaching there. All the members of the Malta team gave presentations. In addition, Dr Mariella Cassar Cordina (Education Officer for Music in State Schools) participated with a presentation and hands-on task, while Professor Amparo Alonoso-Sanz from the University of Valencia led a final practical activity aiming for community-building among teachers.
